Age of Conan Doing Pretty Well

age-of-conan-concept-art.jpg

With over 400.000 subscribers already, as you might've heard. That's a pretty good initial rush and it certainly proves that a strong interest in MMOs that aren't WoW does exist, assuming the game isn't, you know, utter crap and that the marketing team handling it isn't made of lemurs.

Do mind, we'll have to see see what the likes of Sir Bruce have for us, once the initial ripples fade out as these numbers, taken by themselves, have only limited value. On a related note, I'm quite curious how Warhammer Online will do. Their site claims over 700k beta applicants so one could certainly say a certain amount of enthusiasm about the game surely exists. Now if only they'd stop making swords&sorcery games, I too would be happier. Come on already, Fallen Earth.
